This web site is designed for browsers that support spaces in file names.

Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher

Netscape 6.0 and higher

If your Internet connection is not "high speed" click 'Faster' on the Home page. This will take you to a mirror set of web pages which use smaller pictures, hence you get faster downloads than otherwise. Note: clicking on a picture there gives only 1024 x 768 picture, whereas on the main site, full 1712 x 1368 pictures are given.

Keyboard Short Cuts: press the 'P' key to go to the previous page in the menu. Pressing most other keys will take you to the next page (currently only applies to the Reticulata Iris section). The arrow keys can be used to move the page within your browser window (i.e. to scroll horizontally & vertically). These short cut also apply to slideshows (a feature only available on the CD / DVD).

Communication

This web site is a way of communicating information about my work to all of you. Originally I did this by sending out individual letters via "snail mail." Back in the early 90s my postage bill was $300 per year. What really became expensive was sending out photos of my slides.

My intention is to update the site throughout the bloom season, and ad hoc at other times. In recent years there have been times when it has been difficult to do this. Please bare with me - I will get there. In the mean time do enjoy all of the information that I have provided.

How To Find A Particular Photo

Go to the 'Photo Index' page. You will find all of the pictures listed by their title. Note that currently the title is used, so to find 94-HW-1 for example, you'll need to look under 'Starlight'
