December 27, 04 - Welcome
Apologies - my web sites have been down for several weeks while I searched for a new web hosting company.

Hybridizing statistics have been updated: I was only able to make 468 Reticulata crosses due to the wet weather during peak bloom. Of those only 167 worked, yeilding just 3143 seeds. Bee seeds on the other hand went from essentually zero in each of the last two years to over 11,000 from about 1,000 pods. This was all due to a lovely March 29th, just prior to all of the rain.

It turned out that I missed taking pictures of several of my sxd hybrids ["Currently Unavailable"]. A number of these were in difficult positions to photograph, plus several were similar to ones that I already have. I hope to have them available next year.

There was one surprise 1998 sxd bloomed beside 98-NP-1. The 98-NPs had all finished bloominglater than

This year, rather than finishing off the Reticulata portion of my web site I chose instead to process my Juno pictures. For the past two years I left that until Winter. As a result I ended up with many pictures that I could not uniquely identify. I didn't want that to happen this year.

I am quite happy with this year's new hybrids -- especially the sxdxç clones (i.e. hybrids involving sophenensis, danfordiae, and the Çat species. There are now 225 of them!

Which is your favourite?

Bet you can't just pick one!
