The following are all F1 sophenensis x danfordiae (or reverse) hybrids. As you can see, they are all blues, ranging from light blue to dark blue. Some have a bit of yellow influence, but this tends to give a greyed or muddied appearance. One, 92-CI-1 has yellow streaking, which may give some interesting effects in future. As you would expect some of the 50 odd clones are poor doers, but most bloom consistently and increase well. It would appear that if widely separated they will form clumps which consistently produce 5 or 6 flowers.
I would like to see some of them introduced and get into the North American market. However this may only happen on a small scale because of all of the other blues already in the market. Hence they are sometimes referred to as "just blues".
